Young people looking for surgeons for rhinoplasty have begun to act more consciously although not enough yet. Let’s face it, rhinoplasty is still the most common procedure among young people and continues to increase.
For not leaving it to luck, it is important to investigate the educational background, experience, and results of the physician, who will perform the rhinoplasty, if you want to have a natural-looking and beautiful nose after the surgery because the nose is the most important characteristic structure on the face. Rhinoplasty is a more complicated and difficult surgery than you think.
There are physicians, who only perform nasal surgery and perform high-level works on nose aesthetics, and this surgery can be done at a more affordable price in Turkey. Compared to England, where rhinoplasty prices range from 3,000 to 7,000 pounds, the prices in Turkey more favorable. However, there is an important point here: you should be careful to avoid failure while trying to get the nose job very cheap. Otherwise, you may have to undergo recurrent revision surgeries.
There is something I always say that the purpose of rhinoplasty should not be to achieve a perfect nose because beauty is a relative concept. I think natural-looking is beautiful. In the past, more curved and reduced artistic noses were preferred. However, such nose shapes are not desirable anymore. If people understand that you have undergone surgery, there is a problem. If you are getting questions like “Did you just come back from vacation?” or “Did you get a haircut” or comments like “You look rested” or “You look beautiful”, don’t worry, your surgery has been right on target.
Do not undergo surgery to look like another person. Please remember that the skin, cartilage and bone structure and even the facial structure of each individual are different. Therefore, your aim should be a unique, natural and beautiful characteristic nose. Before the surgery, share your expectations and dreams with your physician in full and learn how much change can be made. Do not forget the fact that rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that has limits.
In a recent study carried out at the University of New York, it has been claimed that the 106-degree angle between the nose and face in white women is ideal for a more feminine and aesthetic look. They are redefining beauty in some way, but I disagree. Because there are other factors that make the nose look natural and beautiful. The structure of the forehead, cheeks, lips, and chin is as important as the angles. Without evaluating these factors, it is inadequate to define a beautiful nose only by angles.
The number of people who want to get a nose job is increasing every year throughout the world. For example, according to official statistics, there is a 19% increase in the number of those who underwent rhinoplasty in the UK compared to the previous year. I observe similar things in Turkey as well and realize that the mean age of patients who underwent surgery is gradually decreasing. Young people want to have surgery when they are in high school. If there is no nasal congestion problem, I think it is healthier to wait at least until their early twenties to make such a decision. The number of people who want to have this surgery at the turning points of their lives, such as before the wedding, after graduating from university, or before starting a new job, is increasing. Of course, people who want to eliminate congestion and aesthetic problems at the same time should be evaluated separately because they can always undergo surgery.
We should accept that the digital age has increased the number of people who want to look younger and more beautiful. People, who share their photos and videos with their followers via social media and Instagram, may want to get the nose job with the desire to look younger and more beautiful, just like TV stars or models. In fact, everyone has a certain reputation in their own at the present time. This is more common particularly in the USA and Europe. Furthermore, I’ve been observing an increase in young people who have recently come with selfie panic. While taking selfies, they want to correct the problems in their nose that they have ignored or not noticed until that day. Since the selfie taken for Instagram is two-dimensional, it makes something that doesn’t exist seems to exist in the photos and this may cause anxiety in the person. Of course, it’s our job to distinguish the problematic nose with the non-problematic nose.
